An auto leasing has many advantages over car purchases. One of the biggest advantages is that maintenance tends to be much easier for leased cars. This is because leased cars tend to be newer cars that have less wear and tear and are still under warranty. Often, the dealer will handle any repairs or maintenance work that needs to be done on the car. That said, it is still your responsibility to ensure that your car is well maintained so that you do not have to pay extra money when you turn your car back in at the end of the lease period. Here are some services that you should make sure are completed during each car check up.
Oil Changes
A car’s oil should be changed every three to five thousand miles. This is true for new cars, used cars, and leases. In most cases, it will be time for an oil change when you take your car in for a checkup. An oil change will keep your engine running smoothly. To keep your car in tip-top shape, consider using a catalytic converter additive. This is a fuel additive that keeps your car’s catalytic converter clean and running efficiently. Maintenance techs can provide a catalytic converter additive during the oil change or check up process.
Check The Air Filter
Air filters get clogged quite easily. If your air filter becomes too dirty, it can compromise your engine, causing it to overheat. Checking an air filter is a simple process–your mechanic will be happy to do it when you take your car in for an auto lease checkup. If the air filter needs to be cleaned or replaced, this is also a simple and inexpensive task.
Check Breaks And Lights
To keep your car adequately maintained – and to ensure your safety while you are driving it – be sure that your mechanic checks the brakes and lights on your leased car. Typically, the mechanic will have you flash your headlights, operate both turn signals, and press the brakes to activate the brake lights. This is just to make sure that all the exterior lights on your car are working properly. Your mechanic should also check the breaks themselves. If you have problems with your breaks, the last place you want to find out about it is on the road.
Tire Checks
The final thing that you want to make sure gets seen to when you take your car in for a checkup is the tires. Your mechanic should do the following:

● Check the tire pressure and add air if needed
These steps will ensure that your vehicle is well-maintained and safe to operate. You should not leave your checkup until you make sure that all of these steps are completed.
