One of the most popular is Main Beach, but we recommend venturing out to Pambula Beach, which has fewer crowds and still boasts amazing scenery. If you’re lucky, you might even spot some dolphins playing in the waves!
If you want to take your coastal experience to the next level, we highly suggest going on a Merimbula whale watching tour. During the season, from September to November, whales can be spotted migrating along the coastline and it is truly a magical experience. We recommend using a reputable tour operator to ensure both your safety and the safety of the whales.
Another hidden gem of Merimbula is its wildlife sanctuary. At the Potoroo Palace, visitors can experience Australian animals up close and personal, from wallabies and kangaroos to koalas and wombats.
